Throughout their professional careers, CPAs are subject to ongoing regulation in order to safeguard the public interest.

Bermuda's Chartered Professional Accountants are subject to:

  • Enforcement of exacting Rules of Professional Conduct
  • Continuing Professional Development requirements
  • Comprehensive public oversight and discipline mechanisms

In addition, CPAs practicing public accounting are subject to:

  • Mandatory practice inspection
  • Professional liability insurance programs

CPA Bermuda maintains a comprehensive and well-resourced complaints investigation and discipline process. It deals on a timely basis with complaints and other matters concerning the professional conduct of members, students and firms.
